Lesson 24 Progressive relaxation activity

PROGRESSIVE RELAXATION

 

1)  Clench the fist of your dominant hand

 

2)  Clench the fist of your nondominant hand

 

3)  Bend your wrists back toward your forearms

 

4)  Clench your biceps

 

5)  Shrug your shoulders

 

6)  Wrinkle your forehead

 

7)  Close your eyes tightly

 

8)  Press your lips together

 

9)  Press your head back toward your shoulders and back

 

10) Push your chin into your chest

 

11) Arch your back

 

12) Inhale and hold your breath

 

13) Tighten and hold in your stomach muscles

 

14) Contract your buttocks muscles

 

15) Hold your dominant leg up contracting your quadricep

 

16) Hold your nondominant leg up contracting your quadricep

 

17) Point your toes toward shins
